For 26 years, she served at the United Nations in New York in various capacities, such as a Senior Economist with the UN Office for Economic Assistance to Africa; an External Relations Officer in the Office for Emergency Operation in Africa; as member of the UN Secretary-General’s Task Force on the Decentralization of Economic and Social Issues; as the Head of the Management Audit Section and a Management Analyst; as a senior advisor to the Executive Secretary of the Reform and Efficiency Board of the UN and as an elected President of the UN Coordination Committee of International Staff Unions and Associations.
After moving to Paris, she worked as the Paris Correspondent of Maxims News and United Nations Diplomatic (UNDIP) and covered various international, political and environmental issues and was an elected Member of the Supervisory Board of AMFIE in Luxemburg.
She is the founder of the “Melody for Dialogue among Civilizations” Association, with branches in France, Switzerland, Hong Kong and the United States. The Association has organized many multi-cultural mega-concerts as means of advocacy for urgent social and economical issues and worked closely with UNESCO, UNEP, HABITAT, CERN and academia, such as Northeastern University in Boston, New York University and American University in Paris. To promote a new global role for cultural diplomacy and communications particularly on issues related to environmental awareness she started a new company, namely Global Cultural Networks, based in Hong Kong to assist in the organization of international conferences and debates .
In 2009, following an advocacy campaign launched by her Association she received a pledge for plantation of one million trees. A symbolic tree was then planted in Geneva in the presence of the Geneva Mayor and the Director-General of CERN. Following many multicultural concerts she organized in Guangzhou (2010-opening of the 16th Asian Games), Hangzhou (opening of the Music Festival) 2012 and Shenzhen (opening of the festivity of creative and design city) 2012, Mehri is now invited to organize a recurrent major international Conference on the Future of Books in the Globalizing World in Shenzhen, China.
She has been awarded by the Director-General of UNESCO for her innovative approach to dialogue through music in 2006. For the same reason, by the Marrakesh Environment Group in 2007, received an award from the City of Guangzhou and a letter of appreciation from City of Shenzhen and recently she is awarded jointly with President Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria the Aspen Diplomacy Awards, 2012.
At the present, she is an Advisor to the Guiyang Eco Forum and works as an International Cultural Advisor to the City of Shenzhen, China. Mehri is an expert in fund raising and contract negotiations.

Mehri a servi vingt-six ans au sein des Nations Unies à New York (Secrétariat de l’ NU) en tant qu’ une économiste avec le Bureau des Nations Unies pour l’aide économique à l’Afrique, une chargé des relations extérieures au sein du Bureau pour l’opération d’urgence en Afrique, une membre d’un Groupe de travail du Secrétaire- Général sur la décentralisation des questions économiques et sociales, une chef de la Section des Audits et de la Gestion, une Conseiller principal auprès du Secrétaire Exécutif de la Commission sur Réforme Administrative de l’ONU et comme la Président élu du Comité de la coordination des Syndicats Personnel Internationaux et des diverse associations. Fondée en 2004, l’association « Melodie pour le dialogue entre les civilisations » s’est donné pour objectif de créer un lien entre la musique et les thèmes touchant toutes les communautés. « Melody » entend ainsi favoriser des messages constructifs et promouvoir la résolution de conflits, le respect de la diversité culturelle, la volonté de recherche d’une paix durable et une conscience accrue de la protection de l’environnement. « Melody » choisit ainsi d’accompagner chaque manifestation d’intérêt universel par un concert dont le programme est adapté aux propos. Aujourd’hui, l’Association avec des succursales en France, en Suisse, à Hong Kong et aux Etats-Unis, organisait des nombreux méga-concerts comme moyen de défense pour les questions sociales, environnementale et économiques et elle continuera travaillée en collaboration avec l’UNESCO, le PNUE, l’habitat, le CERN et les universités, comme l’Université Northeastern à Boston, New York University et à l’Université Américaine de Paris. Afin de promouvoir un nouveau rôle mondial pour la diplomatie culturelle et de la communication en particulier sur les questions liées à la sensibilisation à l’environnement, elle a commencé une nouvelle société, à savoir les réseaux mondiaux culturelles, basée à Hong Kong pour aider à l’organisation de conférences et de débats internationaux.
En 2009, suite à une campagne de sensibilisation lancée par son association, elle a reçu un engagement pour la plantation d’un million d’arbres. Un arbre symbolique a été planté puis à Genève en présence du Maire de Genève et le Directeur Général du CERN. Après de nombreux concerts multiculturels, elle a organisé à Guangzhou (CHINE) (2010-ouverture des 16e Jeux Asiatiques), Hangzhou (ouverture du Festival de Musique) 2012 et Shenzhen (ouverture de la fête de la ville créative et design) 2012. En plus, Mehri a invité à organiser une bi-annuelle conférence internationale sur l’avenir du livre dans le contexte du mondialisme à Shenzhen/Chine.Elle a reçu le Prix de l’UNESCO pour son approche innovatrice sur dialogue à travers la musique en 2006, en 2007 elle a gagnée le Prix de l’Environnement de Marrakech, en 2010, elle a reçu le prix de la ville de Guangzhou, une lettre de remerciements de la ville de Shenzhen et elle est décerné conjointement avec le Président Olusegun Obasanjo du Nigeria, le ” 2012 Aspen Cultural Diplomacy,Award”.
À l’heure actuelle, elle est conseillère au Forum Eco Guiyang et travaille comme conseiller culturel international de la ville de Shenzhen, en Chine.
